Who we are and what we believe

With every step we take we hope to leave a lasting impression.  As a Doula I truly believe this and hope it to be true.

At A Sacred Path Doula and Birth Services it is our belief that your personal birthing experience is sacred to you, whichever way you choose to birth.   We are here simply to assist you in achieving your goals.

There are many different organizations out there that offer certification.  However, I chose to become certified with CAPPA Canada due to their vision statement which I truly believe in.

It is one that...

imagines a world where women are encouraged to trust in their own bodies,
offers tools to women to help them achieve a natural childbirth if that is what they desire, equips women with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their births,
educates without guilt thus empowering women to choose the birth that is best for them,
surrounds women with caring, compassionate support during birth,
empowers new mothers to embrace motherhood with confidence,
and lastly is an organization dedicated to making this world a reality!

Not every birthing experience will be the most positive, like anything birth is unpredictable.  It can unfold before your eyes and become something you did not expect.  Months of planning can lead to an emergency last minute decision that must be made.  However when hiring a Doula we will strive to make sure you will never have to make any uninformed decisions.  You will be given the knowledge well before your due date,  on all the possible interventions and the effects those interventions may have on you and your child.   Bottom line is that you and your partner will be prepared for the unexpected.

What we hope to achieve with our clients is a positive outcome, whatever the situation may be.  Whether you choose to go with our company or another let's explore why hiring a Doula is one of the best investments you will ever make for yourself, for your partner, and for your child.
